The Codex Foundation, which exists to preserve and promote the hand-made book as a work of art, has announced the dates and location for it’s biennial Codex World Fair and Symposium: Codex 2013 will be held from February 10–13th at the Craneway Pavilion in California.
Codex 2013 consists of a symposium and book fair where artists and presses will be showcasing their work. The keynote speakers for the symposium are Sandro Berra, Director of the Tipoteca Italiana Fondazione in Italy and Mark Dimunation, Chief of Rare Books and Special Collections at Library of Congress in the US.
Artists and presses that will be showcasing their work include Tim Barrett, Alan Loney of Electio Editions, Russell Maret and Veronika Schaepers.
